Starting with the salaries of public authorities, it's noted that the President of Brazil earns the same as the 513 federal deputies, a sum of R$ 46,366, which is the ceiling for public service salaries as determined by law. This salary cap also applies to senators, ministers of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), and state ministers. However, governors' and mayors' salaries vary according to state and municipal laws, respectively. Interestingly, there are exceptions where some officials exceed this cap by combining pensions with their current roles. In political developments, the government has already committed R$ 2.3 billion in parliamentary amendments, mostly individual, with R$ 465 million already paid.
